This Cookies Policy explains what cookies are and how Covol uses them. Read this alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how We handle personal data collected through cookies and otherwise.

Cookies do not typically contain information that personally identifies a user, but personal information We store about You may be linked to the information stored in and obtained from cookies. We do not store sensitive personal information (such as account passwords or mailing addresses) in cookies.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a website places on Your computer, mobile device, or other device, containing details of Your browsing on that website. Cookies can be “persistent” (remaining on Your device after You close the browser) or “session” (deleted when You close the browser).

2. Cookies We use

  • Necessary / essential. Session cookies set by Us. Required to authenticate You, keep You signed in, and prevent fraudulent use of accounts. Without these cookies the Service cannot function.
  • Functionality.Persistent cookies set by Us. Remember Your preferences (such as theme, opportunity-list filters) so You don’t have to set them on every visit.
  • Cookie-notice acknowledgement.Persistent cookies set by Us. Record that You have seen and acknowledged this Cookies Policy so We don’t prompt You again.

Where required by law, We use non-essential cookies only with Your consent. You can withdraw or change Your consent at any time using Your browser/device settings (see Section 4).

3. Third-party services and cookies

Covol does not use third-party advertising, retargeting, or social-media tracking cookies. We do use the following third-party services that may set or read cookies:

  • Supabase — authentication session cookies. Necessary for sign-in.
  • Vercel — application hosting. May set anti-abuse cookies on edge requests.
  • Sentry — error monitoring. Sentry may set a session-id cookie used to group error events. Sentry session-replay sampling, when enabled, captures DOM snapshots without message content (see Privacy Policy § 4).
